The Igeldo apartments are charming and bright apartments located on Igeldo hill, near Ondarreta beach, in a large area west of the city.
Both Monte Igeldo I and Monte Igeldo II are the perfect apartments for people who prefer a peaceful, traditional rural setting away from the hustle bustle of the city, while at the same time only a few miles from the centre of San Sebastián.
Igeldo is actually incorporated within the San Sebastian city limits but is in fact more like a separate Basque village. Surrounded by farmhouses, ciderhouses, green hills and stunning panoramic views, Igeldo offers a different experience during your visit to San Sebastián.
The apartments sit on the village square beside what was once the Igeldo town hall. The building was completely refurbished in 2010 maintaining the traditional architectural style but fitted with modern amenities and features in the interior.
Monte Igeldo I and II are a 60 square metre, first-floor apartment comprising a spacious open plan living and dining room, two bedrooms and one bath.
The apartments combines living, dining and kitchen areas in a nicely laid out continuous space, stylishly decorated in a combination of traditional and modern design. Numerous windows in this space let in plenty of natural light. A large picture window in the living room affords superb views of the countryside and the sea.
The main bedroom features a double bed and balcony overlooking the square. The second bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms have built-in closets.
Igeldo is just over 4 km (2.5 miles) from Ondarreta Beach and 6 km (3.7 miles) from the city centre and Old Town. There are no problems parking in Igeldo. A good way to avoid parking hassles in the San Sebastián is to use public transportation. The bus runs every 30 minutes and is only a 10-minute ride to the beach or city centre.
